This page explains what happens to personal data on this site. The short version: almost nothing happens, and what does happen only happens when you send an application.

What this site does not do

There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser.

The pages are static files. Opening one leaves the usual entry in the web server log of the hosting provider, which is technically necessary to deliver the page and is not linked to anything else.

The application form

The application form asks for your name, your email address, the school that selected you, and your consent to the use of photographs. Nothing else is asked and nothing else is stored.

When you send the form, those entries go to a Google Apps Script belonging to the organisers and are written into the spreadsheet they already use to run the camp. If sending fails, the page shows you an email address instead, and nothing has been transmitted.

Consent to the use of photographs

The consent is a separate field and is never ticked in advance. It covers photographs taken during the camp being shown on this site. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to the coordinators, and the pictures concerned are then removed.

Who is responsible, and your rights

You have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Those requests go to the organisation legally responsible for this site.

How long the data is kept

The entries stay in the spreadsheet the organisers use to run the camp. How long they are kept has not been settled yet.
